There were a few things during the interview process that made a poor impression on me of the company. First of all, the pay is very low for this kind of role. $19-20 for an MOA position is below market value. For the complexity of the position, and given that this is a for-profit company, I would expect more. Second, there were THREE interviews. A screening call, a video call, and a "job shadow" where I watched the current MOA for an hour, and basically learned how to do the whole role. This seemed very excessive. Third, was the attitude of management. The Manager referred to another staff person as "girl" when she was a full-grown woman, which felt infantilising and condescending. And, I overheard a conversation about religion, which I feel is inappropriate for the workplace.
