      Entrevista

This was a few years ago, but it was one of the most disorganized interviews I ever participated in with obvious lack of communication between their teams. For starters, in the initial call the recruiter told me it would be possible to work from the office closer to me (15 min away) instead of the other office (50 min away). This turned out to be entirely false. One of the interviewers tried to tell me “50 min isn’t too bad.” No, that’s bad. Nobody should waste that much time in their car. Secondly, I was initially told I would meet with 2 people. A day or so before the interview, I receive a list of 4-5 people I would meet with. Day of the interview one cancels and the other no-shows. Please don’t waste people’s time. Third, went I got to the building the admin set me up in a conference room for the interviews. The room had heating problem and if the door was closed it started to get very hot. Really the worst room for an interview. Fourth, I had the agenda of interviewers in front of me. The first was on time. The second was late. Late enough that I went out of the room to find someone who could tell me where they were. It was right around the corner from the admin desk but no one was there. I sat in the room, with the door open (again, hot) waiting for someone to walk by. First interviewer walks by and asks if I bc was waiting. They go and find the person, who apparently couldn’t be bothered to keep track of time or let anyone know they were late. Fifth, one of the interviewers was supposed to call in to the conference room, except they did not call in, now was I given a number to call. The first interviewer walked by again, and I flagged her for help again. She had to go find their number and tell them there was an interview. Lastly, one interviewer simply no-showed while their counterpart did the whole interview instead. It felt like such a waste of my time. It was sloppy, disorganized, and just didn’t seem like anyone cared to do their job that day. Yes, if you are asked to interview someone, that is your job for that day, even if it’s not part of your regular duties. The lack of communication was complete disaster. I was not offered the position but I did not care either. I would never want to work a company as muddled as this one.
