Phone interview then I was invited to interview face to face. McKinsey gave great preparation for the interviews for business cases but no operations examples for the case interviews so not that helpful for the operations specific cases of which all mine were. On the day I had a last minute change of place for the interview. 1 case was fine, 1 was a bit strange where the interviewer didn't seem interested in asking about my experience and just talked about himself. The middle interview was supposed to be one on one but then two interviewers appeared! One of whom was a senior partner - clearly a stress test when I was told I wouldn't be stress tested...not a fan of companies that lie. The main interviewer despite being a principal consultant at McKinsey could not communicate as a human being and seemed intent on refusing any answer I gave him as not being an answer to the point where the senior partner told him to stop being overtly obnoxious! Not what I was expecting from McKinsey!
