Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Maxio (San Diego, CA) en ago 2025

      Entrevista

I applied for a Senior Account Manager role on August 5, 2025 I interviewed with the Recruiter on August 14, 2025. During this conversation, the interview process was explained as three steps (Recruiter → Director of Sales → Hiring Manager). I was also told there was flexibility in the OTE split, which I emphasized was necessary for me to move forward. On August 22, 2025, I interviewed with the Director of Sales. Following that, I had to follow up with the Recruiter a couple of times before being scheduled for a third interview with the Hiring Manager on September 12, 2025. At this stage, I was told the process had slowed down, which should have been proactively communicated. Before confirming, I asked the Recruiter to verify that this would be the final interview, but I was informed that the process had changed and there would be a fourth step with the Head of People. After meeting with the Hiring Manager, I followed up the next week since I hadn’t heard about next steps (the Recruiter was on vacation). The Hiring Manager directed me to the right person, and I scheduled my final interview with the Head of People for September 23, 2025. I showed up fully prepared for that interview, but the Head of People did not attend due to being locked out of the office. Things happen, so we rescheduled for September 30, 2025. During my rescheduled interview with the Head of People, I was informed that two more steps might be added to the process. It was also stated that there was no flexibility on the OTE split—contradicting what I was told nearly two months earlier. I was further told that the two extra steps would not have been necessary if the interview had happened the prior week (which it would have, had the company not missed the scheduled meeting). Finally, in my most recent conversation with the Head of People, I was assured—twice—that I would hear back by the end of the day regarding next steps. I never did. This was particularly disappointing given that we had just discussed communication and follow-through. Altogether, this leaves me with several impressions: The company appears unprepared to hire and support top-tier talent. Communication is inconsistent and commitments are not honored. The process has lacked a baseline level of respect for a candidate’s time. I’m not angry—just very disappointed. Individually, each person I met with was pleasant, and our conversations were engaging. But collectively, there were too many missteps, and I feel that nearly two months of my time were wasted. I am now willing to risk staying in a tough job market longer rather than partner with an organization that operates this way. Therefore, I removed my candidacy. I hope future applicants are treated with more consistency and respect than I experienced.
