Interviewed for Lead Product Manager – Technical, Toronto (Hybrid) — April 2025
The process consisted of 4 scheduled rounds. Round 1 with the hiring manager was positive and professional. Round 2 included a technical screen that was a complete no-show with no prior notice or follow up. Four days of silence followed before the recruiter reached back out.
Round 3 proceeded normally. Round 4, a Bar Raiser session with a Director, was again a no-show. Emails and calls to the recruiter went unanswered for multiple days following both incidents. A generic rejection was issued with no feedback, no acknowledgment of the missed interviews, and no explanation.
Additionally, the role was reposted on LinkedIn on the same day as the second missed interview, suggesting the process lacked internal coordination throughout.
The interviewers I did connect with were professional and engaged. The breakdown was entirely on the recruiting and coordination side. Candidates should be prepared for significant communication gaps and should not pause their job search for this process.
