First had a phone screening with HR, where she was blunt and said this is a job I'd be getting yelled at in (first red flag). Had an on site interview 2 days later with the person who would be my boss, then another person who I'd be working closely with. The person who'd be my boss said people describe her as a micro manager (second red flag). The second person who I'd be working closely with was on her apple watch the whole time (third red flag), then went on to tell me how hard of a job it will be, how there was a list of people who tried this job in the past and failed, how my boss is impossible to work for etc. (fourth and final red flag.) Although I was appreciative of their transparency, It became clear that like most companies, this one was just looking for a warm body. I always make sure my mental health will be good at a job, and even though this job was offering a considerably higher salary than others in my field, I declined the job offer and took note of the multiple red flags in the interview process.
