      Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en Mapbox (Toronto, ON) en mar 2022

      Entrevista

      I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and a few days later, we chatted about the company and the role and proceeded to the next round with the hiring manager. On the day of the interview, I got on the call and waited 10 minutes. When no one showed up, I emailed the recruiter to ask if it was still on. They replied and said the hiring manager was busy and couldn't make it, and were very apologetic about it. None of the previous slots I had provided worked any more for the manager (which was odd, because I had selected from the options given to me, but anyway), and I was given a few options. I picked one and got confirmation of the interview. For the second time, I showed up, and fortunately, the manager did too. After the usual pleasantries were exchanged, I was expecting an apology for missing the previous meeting, but it never happened. Right off the bat, it was a red flag for me, as it displayed low emotional intelligence, and as a manager, if there's one thing you need to have, it's emotional intelligence. Anyway, I proceeded with the interview, and throughout, noticed a sort of distance and detachment. At the end, I knew I wouldn't make it to the next round, and even if I did, I was going to withdraw, because the manager was not the kind of person I'd like to work with. I later got the "Thank you for your interest, but" email, as expected. Oh well.
