The First interview is actually about job knowledge and experience. But the technical test is not for the Engineering manager it's for the software engineer. A coding test for software engineers. Seem the hiring manager doesn't know what they are looking for. As an engineering manager myself who actually to a tech engineering interview the coding test is not for the engineering manager test.

The interview is focused around your industry experience. There were notable segments that you need to highlight your relevant exposures into any similar tech stack, people management and projects.
There’s a complete separation of technical and non-technical interview process, which I highly appreciated.
