They convey you different and has different as actual scenario. On first interview invitation call I have been informed different package and working days, and during interview, I ask to continue with current package ("it's what we have our budget", told by HR even after detailed discussion on call regarding my current profile and expectations). So do not attend interview without job description mail, as it waste my time and money, being as experienced and working candidate.
