Applied online and within a few business days I got invited through email to interview so I had to schedule myself in an open time slot. I was interviewed for a beauty advisor position but originally applied for sales associate and was sent home due to no previous experience in retail or cosmetics. For the day of the interview I arrived at the indicated location and the interview itself took no more than 15 minutes. Think it was a bit of a waste since in my application I stated I had no previous experience in retail or cosmetics and this is something they over looked. Some of the women who were there to direct me towards HR were a bit rude so in a way I am glad I did not end up getting a job there but, the lady who interviewed me was very nice.

Why do you want to work for Macy's? If you ever saw someone steal or bend the rules at work what did you do about it? Any previous experience in retail?A time where you took on a leadership role and the responisibilites you had?
Very unorganized interview process, by the time they got back to me I already accepted another offer. I don’t even think they knew I was suppose to have an interview that day. Confusion from start to finish

the interview was straightforward and the manager was very friendly and professional. The interview was also very long and thorough. I would come extra prepared and with a highly professional attitude.

personality questionnaire with application...then maybe you'll be offered the virtual and in person interview...the virtual took about 30-40 min.s. 4 questions total. the in- person was really smooth and laid back, good energy
