The hiring process is not that difficult at this level. It is usually an interview with the VPSM that lasts 15-45 minutes, asking behavioral questions. They want to know if you have what it takes to handle the merchandise team manager role and if you are great at problem solving. You also need to have mastered the Sales Manager role or other roles similar. You need to know the Macy's lingo, and be passionate about success through people.
