Entrevista
I received an email stating that my application on macysjobs.com has been accepted and that they would like me to self-schedule an interview using the link provided in the email. Did that, and showed up to the interview dressed in business attire.
Interview was conducted by one of the lady store managers. Questions raged from:
-Why did you apply to Macy's?
-Describe an occasion where you were part of a team working towards a goal, what was your role and what was the outcome?
-Could you describe for us an incident where you witnessed a colleague at work doing something unprofessional - what did you do to resolve the situation?
-How would you approach a customer to apply for a store credit card?
- How would you celebrate a customer's purchase?
I went prepared for questions exactly like this, answered them without hesitation, and was offered a job right on the spot.
I initially applied for a seasonal position, but got offered a part-time permanent position instead because I aced the interview.
The gist of it is - prepare stock answers on paper to questions like mine (and others you can get here on glassdoor depending on what position you're applying for), read them over and over with the questions, and you should be good to go.
Once I was signing my papers, one of the managers commented on how professional I looked and how they notice that sort of thing. So, when you go for an interview, dress for success!

The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
