Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Macmillan

      Entrevista

I applied online through the portal on the company website. I received an email from HR ten days later about scheduling an interview with the hiring manager for the role, which we set up for the same week. That first interview was very easy. The hiring manager was very kind and laid-back, encouraging a casual attitude, and I can honestly say I left that interview feeling more confident than I ever had with one. She could not tell me when they would contact me again if I was selected to continue the process, which was a bit frustrating, but the rest of the interview made up for it. I received word from HR again the next week about setting up an interview with another member of my future team. This interview went a little less smoothly, but again the interviewer was so genuinely nice and interested in me I couldn't claim it was anything but a positive experience, and once again I left feeling confident. However, again the interviewer did not know when I would heard back. About a week and a half later I received a call offering me the position. I did not negotiate my salary or the benefits; perhaps silly, but I was just excited to get the job. I had some previous experience in the publishing industry but none in sales. Another few days later and I received the first of the onboarding paperwork. Across both interviews, I found the questions to be well within the expected range. I would recommend preparing, of course, but if you do your due diligence ahead of time you'll be perfectly fine--at least in my experience. Remember that Macmillan is huge so unless you apply to the same team I now work on you will get different interviewers.
