Talked on phone first to go through what my basic understandings were and then set up interview time for the in person interview. The interview was brief and not very intimidating at all. We met at a coffee shop and went through what they were looking for in an inter. We discussed my background and the classes I have taken that apply to the internship (these were mostly my MIS based classes).
