Entrevista
ML6 interview for the Machine Learning consulting role is divided into multiple steps. At first, they send to applicants a ML challenge which needs to be solved and deployed into a public GCP project. This challenge is a simple problem which can be solved with basic knowledge of Deep Learning training and evaluation concepts. I estimate a couple of afternoons to train/evaluate the model and to deploy it into the cloud project. Then, if the challenge solution is evaluated sufficiently well, the applicant is invited to a one-hour interview with an HR recruiter and a ML6 engineer. The interview is divided into 2 phases. The recruiter asked me some tricky behavioural questions about previous experiences and working situations, while the technical figure asked me about a detailed explanation of what I had done to implement the project solution and about possible improvements to obtain better results.

Pregunta 1
HR questions:
- Tell me a situation which has been challenging to work with your team or your client.

Technical questions:
- How have you pre-processed the dataset?
- What is transfer learning?
- Which techniques can be used to improve model performances?

1- You send them a video introducing yourself
2- They ask you do a project before having the first interview (It can take multiple days of your time depending on how familiar you are with google cloud, training model, etc.)
3- An interview with HR and a technical engineer. HR asks about yourself, why you chose them and the engineer asks you about your code as well as random technical questions. Went very well for me, I received positive feedback on my clear motivation on why choosing ml6 as well as how impressed they were about my technical background.
4- They ask you present a paper for a team of their engineers. Preparation can take around a week. Went very good for me and I received very strong positive feedbacks after the interview.
5- They invited me for the final 1 hour interview with project managers (or a similar title). They looked very disinterested from begining of the call! They asked simple questions like why ml6 etc which I answered like I had answered before. after about 15 minutes they had no other question and they said ask your questions for rest of the meeting! After final interview they rejected and the negative feedbacks were same feedbacks I was getting as positive points before that meeting!
1- Your background is not related (ofcourse it is very related)
2- my motivation to why ml6 is not clear to them
overal it was a 3 weeks waste of time and I think if companies think your background is not a fit they should say it before you spend 3 weeks for their process, not after. also my motivation was asked probably 3-4 times during the process. Before final interview they reveal the salary range (it was lowest among all my offers which was a surprise) I recommend asking the range before spending all this time for their random process.
