MITRE interviews are generally quite casual but can get technical depending on which position you apply to. I was contacted by HR and did a 1-hour interview with them that broadly discussed MITRE's culture. From there I was interviewed by a would-be immediate supervisor, to discuss the position more specifically. Finally I interviewed with the associate department head and department head, to discuss how I would fit into the team structure of the department and potential project work.
