Hiring process is probably the most unprofessional I've ever experienced. Over a week after I submitted my application I received an email asking me to complete a take home test and submit it within 2 days. This was followed by over two weeks of silence until they once again emailed me out the blue with details of a 3+ hour interview that was scheduled in two days time. I suppose the expectation was that I was going to be willing to take a day off work at a moments notice to interview for a position I'd spoken to literally no one about. By this point I'd already accepted another offer so declined the invitation. This approach might fly in places like India but in the UK the interview process is a two way street. Given we have more opportunities and far higher expectations it's just as important for the employer to present themselves in a good light as it is for the prospective employees.
