I had a 30-minute phone interview with the Director of Engineering. The interview was mostly focused on culture fit questions, with no technical questions asked. However, when I asked about the next steps and when I could expect to hear back from the team, the Director expressed confidence that he would get back to every candidate he interviewed. Unfortunately, his words fell flat when I never received a follow-up email or update on my application. It's frustrating to feel disregarded and left in the dark after investing time in an interview. While the Director's lack of follow-through is disappointing, I'm left wondering if this is a reflection of the company's overall approach to communication and respect for candidates' time. As someone who values professionalism and transparency, this experience has left a sour taste. I hope future candidates will have a more positive experience with this company, but for now, I'll be taking my talents elsewhere.
