The whole process is very professionally-done, a great reflection of the overall core values I would expect at Lyft if I had worked there. I always got responses and things moved along at a good pace. All of my interviews were done by phone because I am not located in TN.
I had an initial phone screen and then got a homework assignment asking me to answer customer service tickets. When I submitted those, literally that day I got another interview set up to talk to three other people, all who had the job I wanted. They seemed very upbeat, smart, and committed to Lyft's values. They emphasized what a great workplace it is. I waited a week or so for the next interview, which was with two higher-level officers at Lyft in Nashville and 30 minutes role playing customer calls. It was very difficult because not much information was given about usual protocols at Lyft, and I wanted to do everything in my power to help the customer without sounding crazy. It was challenging, especially after the call when they said "so how do you think you did?" which I think is a key component of the interview. That's the hardest of all questions, so be prepared.
I am a little disappointed because it seems that my role playing wasn't what they were looking for, but I am so much better in writing. I made this clear from the first call when they asked which I preferred - the job where I write emails or where I take calls? And I said I am great in writing customer service! They could see that from my homework assignment. So I hope that Lyft takes this into account to help their whole process - I feel that you could be screening out great candidates, because I know I would have become a star on your team with a lot of pride for working at such an amazing company. But maybe I am not great at all things, and I assume there are people out there who are.
The hiring process was pretty smooth. I initially applied in may and was given a job offer the next month. I appreciated everyone I spoke with. The hiring team was warm and inviting. I had three rounds of interviews.

It's 3 part where you're asked to give examples of how you've handled difficult situations. What customer service means to you. Why are you interested in this role and why do you think you'd be a good fit for it.

Once they email you saying they would like to interview you, you first send in a written response to an email from a driver and they review it and if they like how you responded then they emailed me a link and the time of the interview. Then when you go to the link you join the meeting and you get interviewed by 4 different people including a customer role play. And they also check your internet connection. They also make sure you have a desk, chair and a quiet office space in your home.
