      Entrevista

      I went through the hiring process at Luxoft Poland. I had first HR interview followed by a technical interview round. Then an interview with a delivery manager asking about my experiences and related stuff and then another 2.5-hour long client interview which was a mix of in-depth technical questions and competency questions. The entire process took 1 week. After the client's interview the very next day I got an offer. The offer was same as what I was getting at my current company. I tried to negotiate. After two days of negotiation, I decided not to take the offer. After my refusal to the offer HR and managers started calling me that if I take the offer I'll be the happiest person alive. They started promising bonuses and promotions but was not ready to write those promises in the contract. After 3 days of consecutive calls from all sorts of Luxoft employees, I decided to take the offer. Thinking that they must have great value for their employees. The day I signed the contract with Luxoft the HR started asking me when am I giving my resignation at current job. I made it clear to them during the interview that I will only resign once Luxoft has all the documents (official government work permits etc) ready. Yet HR was forcing me to resign. On Friday morning the HR lady called me up and said if I don't resign then they will be finding some other candidate. I already made up my mind so I thought let's just do it and gave my resignation. One week later HR and managers called me up telling me that the project I was hired got a budget cut and if you like you can find yourself another job "NO HARD FEELINGS FROM US". Since I already said no to other job offers and gave resignation to my current employer I had no choice but to ask them to please keep me. They said I will have to go through more interviews with managers and technical department in order to be inducted for another project in another city. Feeling hopeless I decided to give it a try. The manager of the new project called me and said the project is going to end by the end of this year after that we probably will have to let you go or you can take unpaid leave and find yourself a job. Feeling desperate I still said ok to this. Then the day came when I was supposed to have another technical interview with another client. The client called and said we are looking for a Python dev and this is supposed to be a Python interview (I am a Java dev). I was shocked and the interview ended after 5min. There must be good people working at Luxoft. But after going through this kind of nonsense during the hiring process they have no right to play with individuals careers. I'd highly recommend if you can avoid going to this company do that. They have no value for their employees.

      An easy coding exercise at the beginning followed by a bunch of mostly theoretical questions from the programming language, frameworks, databases, concepts like microservices. Unfortunately the interviewer was from another project and couldn't answer my questions about the role.

      The interview was for a contract role opportunity. It consisted of 3 rounds, one technical screening (45 mins), one managerial (30 mins) and one client round onsite (45 mins). Questions were based on Java, Python, SQL, Design Patterns, Microservices, AWS and one coding question. I cleared all the rounds but didn't get selected because of tough competition between me and the other candidate. The screening interviewer was quite friendly and tried to greet me in my language. The interviewers for client round were also friendly throughout the process and also dropped me back to the elevator area.

      Second round was managerial. Standard HR questions were asked. Tell me about yourself, what is sdlc and give an end-to-end example, how will you ramp yourself up in the first month, how did you deal with challenging scenarios.

      Third round was client round onsite. There were two interviewers who took me to the conference room. One guy told me to write code in SQL to find duplicates in a table and then write the same code in Java, then he asked me if I worked with microservices before and I said yes. The other guy asked me what was my project about, how I implemented security in it, what was the code coverage, did I work for production level issues.

      Easy 3 steps. First one with recruiter, second one technical and last one with manager. Each interview was conducted in friendly manner. Technical interview was question based, not leetcode style
