Absolutely amazing experience! The staff were so lovely. We spent the first half being informed on what the job consisted of and what lush stood for, we then went on to icebreakers (which I have hated doing my whole life, but surprised myself because everyone was so incredible and I felt so at ease!) There were 9 of us being interviewed in total. We then had to do group activities such as making creations out of the 'fun' soap and presenting them, after that we got paired into twos and had to ask our partner about their weekend, we then had to find a product as a gift which would relate to what they did. The last role play/demo we had to do was draw a poster about the gift we received and sell it to the group (I usually hate role play but actually really enjoyed this part). Last but not least we moved onto paper work and such, then asked questions and finally we went round the circle talking about our experience and what we enjoyed! This has been the best interview I've ever had (I did have 2 vodka and cokes before hand to help with the nerves lol, probably why I enjoyed it so much) we also got little goody bags which was so cute!
Initially screened through a phone interview.
In store we did a group interview. After introducing the person next to us in a huge group circle, we were then split off into smaller groups where we did various activities around the store. It was super cool and nice, and was a fun way to learn about the role through practical experience.

Initial informal interview, then group interview and trial shift. The group interview consisted of essentially roleplaying customer/staff demonstrating how we would sell products. Trial shift was on an extremely busy day. Didn't get the job because I was too quiet (for their standards), and the staff already knew a few of the others being interviewed so there was clear favouritism there

group interview followed by shop floor trial. Just be friendly and willing to smile. A compliment or two can’t hurt either :) You DONT have to learn anything but to know a bit about lush and their campaigns is integral as that would what you will be doing most of the time as a sales assistant particularly throughout Christmas and the year. Also be willing to be receptive and pick out ingredients they explain so when you demo it, you can be confident even if you don’t know anything already
