One step only-- Applied through their career page for a backend role in ruby. For that, I got ~3 hrs long assessment. No call with the recruiter or HM. I cracked it and that's all!! The next thing I got is rejection mail. I solved all of the questions by successfully passing integration and unit test cases.

It was pretty easy, got 3 questions -- one with boilerplate code and writing some APIs and model associations, 2nd was 1 MCQ and 3rd was SQL query -- not so easy but you can solve it with some intermediate-level knowledge.

First, fill in online form.
Then you need to make super-easy task online, which was strange as I applied for a senior position.
After completing I got a message that I got 100% points for the test (it was so easy it was not a surprise), and we should arrange a call.
The call was a talk with a recruiter, general talk. The last topic was about salary, they offered me 45k USD as I am still a junior according to them. My answer was like Whaaat? I am applying for Senior position and you say I am a Junior based on what, the task I made 100% correct? Well, the answer was that I have only 4 years experience, while many people working there have 20 years. Then I asked so how can they have 20 years experience if rails were created less than 20 years ago. This was actually the main topic of the talk we had. After a few days, I got email that there are more experienced candidates than me so they hold my application.
