      Entrevista

In a recent HireVue interview, the process consisted of seven behavioral questions followed by two cognitive games. Let’s break down both parts in more detail: 1. Behavioral Questions: The first section of the interview focused entirely on behavioral questions. These types of questions are designed to assess how candidates handle various work-related situations, drawing from their past experiences. Behavioral questions are typically structured around the STAR method: Situation: Describe the context within which you performed a task or faced a challenge. Task: Explain your responsibilities or what was required of you. Action: Describe the specific actions you took to address the situation. Result: Share the outcome of your actions, including any lessons learned or achievements. Some examples of common behavioral questions that could have been asked include: "Can you tell me about a time when you worked on a challenging project and how you handled it?" "Describe a situation where you had to work as part of a team to achieve a goal. What was your role, and how did the team perform?" "Tell me about a time when you had to resolve a conflict with a coworker or team member." "Describe a situation where you had to quickly adapt to a new environment or change in a project." "Can you give an example of when you took the initiative to solve a problem at work?" In these questions, interviewers aim to evaluate a candidate's problem-solving abilities, teamwork, adaptability, leadership, and communication skills. They want to see how you think, how you handle difficult situations, and how you grow from challenges. By drawing on real-life examples, you demonstrate not only your experience but also your approach to overcoming obstacles and working with others. 2. Cognitive Games: After the behavioral questions, the interview shifted to a set of two cognitive games. These games are designed to measure your cognitive abilities in areas like problem-solving, memory, attention to detail, and reaction time. They are often engaging and fun, acting as an alternative to more traditional tests while still providing valuable insights into your mental agility and decision-making. While the specific games vary depending on the company and the role, here are two examples of the types of games you might have encountered: Memory and Attention Game: In this type of game, you might have been shown a sequence of numbers, shapes, or symbols and then asked to recall them after a few moments. This game tests your short-term memory and attention to detail. Pattern Recognition and Problem-Solving Game: Another possible game could involve identifying patterns in sequences of numbers or shapes and then selecting the next item in the sequence. This type of game assesses your ability to think logically and recognize trends or patterns quickly. Although the games might have seemed straightforward and easy, they provide hiring companies with valuable information about your cognitive functions, such as how well you can focus, how quickly you can process information, and how effectively you can solve problems.
