Me postulé a través de una facultad o universidad. El proceso tomó 6 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Los Angeles Water and Power en nov 2023
Entrevista
I applied through a job fair at my university. I only had one, 20-minute interview with two HR staff. They asked mostly behavioral questions, with two of the questions being related to water and power.

The actual difficulty of the interview is dependent primarily on your knowledge of water and power processes and architectures. It especially helps if you know DWP's. If you have a background in either or both, then the interview will be much easier. If you were a LADWP intern, then this will be a really easy interview. However, the water and power-related questions are the deal breakers.
Since this is a city agency (similar to other government and state agencies), it will take approximately 1-3 months to get your results. Your results are in the form of a score. If you score below 90%, forget about getting hired, and you will have to wait an entire year and start the process all over again. If you got around 80% you might get considered later down the line, so long as your "list" has not expired, but if you get anything below 80 or 90%, it is an extremely low chance that you will get anything.

I interview through my campus university. I originally was scheduled for my interview in person on my campus, but I had to cancel and got rescheduled to an online interview. They asked 7 questions, 5 were behavioral and 2 were technical. It took two months to get my score back.

The interview was pretty straightforward. Two employees conduct the interview which is mostly behavioral questions and some technical. You then get a score on how well you did after a few weeks and will be placed on a list for about a year and will get notices of job positions throughout that year.
