      Entrevista

I rarely write negative reviews for things online, but this company has led me to do so: So first off, the company looked legit, the website was impressive and the job description read like something I'd want to be a part of. They called me after a couple days and seemed excited to meet. So I headed into the city and up to the office and there was an immediate red flag - there was about 10 other prospects in the room (some of whom looked under-dressed and unqualified). But i shook it off and met with the interviewer who was really nice. The person really seemed interested in me, but surprisingly cut the interview short. Nevertheless, they asked me to come in for a 2nd day all day volunteer 'field' interview. So i get there the 2nd day and this time there are even more applicants in the room. We were all getting called off to go with our would-be managers into the field. They were supposed to see if we were impressive enough to deserve a recommendation. So I head out with a "team leader" and the individual describes rather vaguely what the company does. On the walk there, the person makes a comment on how I am lucky to have made it this far because she has sent people home before from the elevator solely for the fact that she did not like them. Her sales and marketing sense seemed pretty unordinary and forced as she described to me the effectiveness of door to door marketing. Despite this I went on and figured I still give it a shot. When we got to our destination we saw other employees of Loop with aprons trying to sign up RANDOM people off the street for this app called Hello Fresh. This came as a huge surprise, no where in the job description did it mention door to door sales, cold calling or anything of the sort. Additionally it did NOT state everyone started off as a 'brand ambassador' and my interviewer failed to inform me as well. Regardless of this, I stayed and decided to really see what the company was all about, I was already there and figured I see this go down. My leader gave me outlandish tasks that were rudimentary, unorganized in thought and lacked any solid backing. Her analysis of my performance was always very lackluster and was void of any worthy information or analysis. After staying for hours watching these people attempt to sell to random people (sometimes with embarrassing results) the leader told me of the whole business model. I won't go into detail, but it's basically a legal sales-based pyramid, based 100% of commissions until you work your way up in a very short period of time in 6-8 months. The leader told me she was impressed with me (even though i did not show or feel enthused), and I felt it was very forced. Loop makes it seem like you're so special and that you preformed so well, but in reality while you may have some real skills, they accept almost anyone who is willing to stay and partake in the 'tasks'. They try to make it seem like you went through this rigorous process and that they only select the top 10% of resumes. Loop churns applicants day in and day out and are dishonest in the job description. Everyone is applying to the same job even though they have multiple jobs posted. Bottom line is that Loop deceived me and wasted my time. This is why I am taking my time to inform you to not do the same. Unless you are interested in selling random people things they probably don't want in the streets, then this job is not for you. I really hope Loop changes its job description and is forthright and honest in job descriptions and interviews.

Thank you so much for your review. Just a few things we had over 2000 applicants apply to the company in a 10 day period. We read every resume and have roles out from Internships to management. Therefore we always have a whole range of candidates in the lobby. We are a company that prides itself on training and developing our staff from entry level. We apologize if people who are just starting their career was off-putting, we think its great. We also think Ellen is great. (We know you do too, everyone loves Ellen.) If you were invited to a second interview we thought you had something special, we though you were someone that could maybe manage a client or a division. If you would like any further information or would like to talk more i would love to answer all of you questions on jill@loopitnyc.com We don't actually accommodate door to door and a few other things that i think are a little miss communicated.

      Entrevista

I applied a few weeks ago, and an HR rep emailed me right away asking me to come to NYC the next day for an interview. I go to Penn in Philadelphia, and asked her to reschedule or do a phone interview. She didn't respond. A few weeks later, I had 7 missed calls from said Rep, asking me yet again to come in the next day. I decided to just make it happen, and said I would come, asking about what time. She never responded, and then later emailed me that I would be coming in later that week on Thursday at 4pm, not even asking if that worked for me. Regardless, I decided to give it a chance, and made it happen. I was really disappointed by the "interview." I should have listened to the other reviews. They told me I would be interviewing with the CEO and an HR rep, which was just not even true at all. The interview took less than five minutes, and the interviewer was incredibly rude, interrupting me every other sentence, and barely let me get a word out. He then told me he'd call between 5 and 6 regarding a shadowing experience that would take place the next day, but then he didn't call. Honestly he did not seem qualified to interview someone, and it felt like a temp agency or something sketchy. Would not recommend.

Was a pretty short interview. Found it odd, it felt more like a sales pitch than a job interview. Seems more like a sales or soliciting job. I got called back for a second round to shadow someone, but politely turned them down. I felt like it wasn't what I was looking for.

not a interview looks more like an audiction. there me and 37 other people interviewing for 1 role. each interveiw is prolly less than a min but the wait is like a hospital style wait, waited 2 hrs just to get a 40 sec interveiw. they prolly dont remeber your face as soon as you walk out that door. this interveiw is more of a waste of time than a new york life interveiw.
