Talked to hiring manager (tool pusher) over the phone and discussed whether or not I'd be willing to work in dangerous conditions in a land far far away (1,400 miles away from home.) Told me that people die doing that type of work and if I was comfortable with that risk. I agreed. This was in 2012.
