I submitted a resume and tailored cover letter in response to an ad posted on craigslist.org and received an e-mail indicating that the editor/publisher wanted to interview me. After driving an hour to Patchogue, the interview took place in about 5 minutes, and I was then summarily dismissed. There was no preliminary conversation and no preamble; I would almost liken the interview experience to a cold, unemotional interrogation.
