      Entrevista

This was a very disorganized hiring process. I apply online to multiple locations and positions and even sign up for walk in hiring events. So I attend one event at a store but it the event was not for the store-it was for the DC. So I was referred anyway to someone on the floor in a lead role. She told me what positions the store was looking for and gives a grand tour of the store including the employees only areas. After completing availability forms and handing off my resume, I understood I would receive a call from a supervisor later that day. No call. About 24 hours later, I get a call from a different store employee who came across my online application. I went on to explain my experience the previous day and she invited me in for an interview the next day. On site, I learn that my paperwork was never forwarded and the supervisor did not know to call me. And during the interview, the store employee gets a call learning that the position I’m most interested in was filled. However, we still discuss other opportunities. I find out 2 days later that they went in another direction. Just weeks later, another store representative from a different location calls me for a phone interview. It goes well and after he talks with a supervisor and I’m invited by text to come in for an in person interview. After a long drive to the store and a 10 minute interview, I’m asked about my salary expectations. I was honest, and their reply was we can’t even come close to that and added the maximum in the range was at least $8 short of my requirement given that it was a long drive. So I just wasted my time and gas money. I could have been given an hourly range before blocking out a good portion of my day that ultimately was wasted. Long story short. If you apply, ask them the tough questions first to get to the truth before wasting your time.
