applied for Credit Management Accounts Assistant, was contacted fairly quickly to discuss my wage expectations, then an interview was scheduled via Teams for the next week. the interview went well, (in my opinion), and was told I should hear back by the latest of the next week. 2 weeks after hearing nothing, I emailed the ‘finance manager’ for credit management, just chasing up where we are with my application. I received absolutely NOTHING back, and this is a company I’ve worked for in the past so I would have thought basic communication was a given? I applied for a similar role 2 years prior, before Lithia took over and it was still Pendragon, and again after the interview, a month later I was contacted and offered a job - but this was 2 weeks after I’d accepted a new role, again, after being told a week before this I would have heard something. I’m not sure what it is that’s gone wrong, whether it’s me or the people interviewing me, but ghosting applicants after interviewing is not the way to run the business.
