Initially, the interview process started out with a phone screen with the recruiter. This recruiter did a good job describing the company's products and customers. I thought that a big turn-off by the recruiter was discussing your salary and then remarking your salary is way above the salary range for the position. At this point, the interview process should have been terminated. The second phone interview involved chatting with the hiring manager. He came off as arrogant and condescending. He sounded like he was reading from a checklist if you had hardware, software, and embedded experience, Jenkins, Java, Linux, etc. Also, there was mention of overseeing the software release process and Jenkins environment. Basically, there's high expectation being asked by the hiring manager. Overall, I see a big disconnect between the job description and what the hiring manager is looking for.
