HR call for resume screening, then the first interview with the product manager of the team, then interview with data scientist where you had to answer some questions on a problem, and pair coding following on from the question

Interview process was smooth until I got multiple emails from the team some for rejection and some for progressing with the role. Nothing related to my performance but just change in direction. It feels bad when you invest so much time and efforts into an interview process only to be told that there's a change in direction - which is quite vague and also looks so misaligned from the company's end.
