The interview process here felt overly demanding and ultimately disrespectful of candidates’ time.
The interview process consists of three rounds:
• Round 1: 30 minutes
• Round 2: 2 hours of hands-on TDD pair programming
• Round 3: 1 hour with a manager
In addition, there’s an online assessment that takes about 2.5 hours, bringing the total time commitment to roughly 6 hours excluding the preparation you will do for the interview. Throughout the process, you’re expected to be well-prepared on company knowledge, Test Driven Development and other agile concepts. They also push for a fast timeline with the interviews, so they can complete the process fast.
You’ll be asked about your desired salary during or before the final interview, but if they decide not to move forward, you’ll likely be ghosted. I reached out proactively for info and feedback and never received a response.
To make matters worse, after investing around 6 hours into interviews, I was asked in the final round, something like: “Do you really want to work for us, or are you just interviewing because we approached you?” This question came across as dismissive and unprofessional.
Overall, this company gave me the impression of a group of experts in their fields with oversized egos. I would not recommend pursuing opportunities here if you have other options.
