Zoom call with HR rep. Basic review of background information that was already in my resume. Interview ground to halt less than 10 minutes because the rep ignored the statement in my cover letter that stated I was only looking for a remote role. Although their employees are based in multiple countries, including their subject matter experts, this role is expected to be on site at either location every day for collaboration reasons (even though all job ads state "Flexibility - we offer a hybrid work environment"). If remote or flexible location is important, you need to ask first if that boilerplate language applies to the role you want. Don't assume it applies to the role you are applying for or you may be in for an unpleasant surprise later. No explanation given as to which roles are remote or flexible. Pay seems to be a mix of salary and stock options. This company is very early in the startup phase of its lifecycle. They were very prompt at sending a rejection letter with 30 minutes after the end of the interview so I expect they generally don't keep applicants waiting forever.
