The first two interviews with the HR and one of the co-founders were perfect. Normal interview questions and I can say they were willing to move forward to the next stage. The co-founder even asked me if I had time to visit the company after the third interview. Then the third interview was the most ridiculous one I have ever had. The other co-founder was a Chinese guy and he was like, how was your internship with the previous company? And what sequencing machines does this company use? Why they chose this one instead of others? What protocol did you follow for NGS? I was like: excuse me? ??How do I know why they chose a certain type of machine? Is this something I am supposed to know as a research associate intern? And the reason behind purchasing certain type of machine has NOTHING to do with the position I applied for! It made me feel like he just wanted some business secrets and free counseling through the interview. He attended this interview in his car and a person who was not HR (seems more like his friend) was sitting next to him listening to all of these. Very unprofessional!
