      Entrevista

-was called for an interview after applying online for a manager position -interviewed with sales manager, seemed interested, scheduled for a 2nd interview with general manager i could not even meet this guy and when i saw who he was, he just sat in his office texting on his cell phone and not doing a thing. i didnt understand why i had to waste gas and make another trip when i could have interviewed with him while i was there. -general manager didnt seem interested do to lack of eye contact during interviewing process just scribbled some notes on a legal pad with no connection with me whatsoever, even though i tried to -general manager said i would be hired for entry level sales position, even though i have a general -manager background from another fitness company. he seemed to be very shallow and tried to sell me on the fact that one of his sales staff makes almost 6 figures. really? that explains why there's different staff there every 2 or 3 months, right? -called to follow up after 2 weeks of being interviewed, sales manager was transferred to another location and general manager was not available. usually when you are transferred to another location its an act of demotion, because you couldnt keep up with stats and you have to go to a worst club than you were just to do the minimum requirements.......basically a second chance to do better so we dont have to fire you! -called again 2 days later, same response, gm is not available -called again later the same day and left a message for the gm, no returned phone call -next day, called again, left voicemail, for gm, no returned phone call was a waste of my time, managers there are paid too much money to not take phone calls when its part of the responsibility, incompetent, and self-centered. i guess they feel they can be snobbish and stuck up because their gyms cost more than most or cost the most,! its not right or fair, but this is the kind of environment that is embraced at lifetime fitness. you are prejudged as soon as you walk in the door and no sales staff wants to assist you. instead they just stare at you and walk in another direction. sales staff are not properly linked with communication from general manager so nobody knows anything and that is unprofessional. needless to say i spoke with the new sales manager and he said that all positions were filled when the website shows no filled positions for months as well as talking to a sales guy there to tell me nobody had been hired there...dishonesty is also embraced within this organization.
