I found - and applied to - the job on USAJob.gov. They responded to me with an interview call in three months. The interview was conducted at the Law Library of Congress and was conducted by a panel of three of the other regional law experts. I was required to submit a writing sample before the interview and during the interview I was questioned on various points on my resume and that writing sample before being asked about how I would solve various hypothetical research problems.
