I interviewed with someone who understood what was needed to do the kind of programming work that the company requires to move and manipulate the electronic data that it has to, which made a lot more sense than interviewing with someone from HR who wouldn't quite understand all the technical jargon that comes with the Computer Science field, much less know what a qualified candidate looks like. The interview itself was very laid back. Half of the questions I was asked were to get a feel for my personality and the other half were to see if I had enough of a fundamental understanding of the concepts I would potentially be working with to be worthwhile to take on. The interviewer himself was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and he would eventually become my boss. Upon first contact with the company, it took about a week to get the in-person interview (there was a small amount of email back-and-forth beforehand), two weeks to hear back about it with an offer (with more emails in the interim), and then another week to get all the necessary paperwork done to finally get started. It's definitely the best placed I've ever worked at.
