About six weeks after I applied online, I had my first phone interview with a recruiter. She asked about my experiences within the architecture industry. We had a great conversation about remote and hybrid work (the position offered hybrid work options) and the varying pros and cons that come with both. She asked about my salary requirements and offered to introduce me to the project team I would potentially be working on. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. We had email correspondence following the interview where the recruiter asked for more work samples to send to the team since things were looking pretty positive. After a few weeks of back and forth and waiting for the second round of interviews, that she assured me I would be called in for, the recruiter ghosted me.
