      Entrevista

I emailed Lextech presenting myself and applying for a position. this was followed up with an email where me and the recruiter exchanged our Skype IDs and had a call a few days later. The interview was unlike anything I expected. I thought it would be really technical but it was like talking to a friend. The questions were varied, we spoke about life in general, sports, it was quite casual and my initial nerves soon went away. Some very cool questions came up, like what my favorite thing about iOS is, my favorite APIs, least favorite APIs, what I'd like to see in the future, what I don't like about iOS and programming for this platform, and more. Some personality questions were also asked. Things like whether I like to be part of a team or do things by myself, why I like programming, where I see myself in the future, and more. Overall it was a great experience. I also got to ask questions of my own, like what the team is like, the environment, activities that we do outside of work, tools used within the company, the type of projects I could expect to work on. After this I was sent a coding test which I submitted the same evening. A few weeks later I heard back from Lextech's recruiting team informing me that I'd done well and they would like to have a technical interview. The technical interview was done with a Senior engineer who, for obvious reasons, asked me more technical questions than the initial recruiting process. I feel this was very important as I had to be honest about what my skill set was and I also got an opportunity to ask technical questions to help me asses what the company's direction was and how I would fit in. After this, some weeks went by and I was informed that they would like to hire me. I signed a contract and discussed how payments would be made, my salary, and other final/formal details required. It was a great experience and, even though it took some time for everything to work out, I still remember the excitement I felt when I was told I'd be part of the team. I've had a lot of friends tell me they dread interview processes, calls, tests, etc. But I can honestly say that this wasn't the case with Lextech. I felt comfortable talking to everyone, during the interview process, negotiations, and everything else.

      Pregunta 1

I can't remember the exact question from the recruiter, but I think it was the one that really allowed me to show my personality and who I am. It all came down to how I see programming, what role it plays in my life, and what I see myself doing in the future. My answer was that to me, programming is more than just a job, it's a hobby, it's in my heart. I love programming and will keep doing so even if I someday have to work on something else to make a living. I also told the recruiter that I'm very passionate about programming, I love learning and I am as excited about new gadgets and technology as a kid is on Christmas.
