Had an interview for a AI Engineer at Lexmark, and overall, it was a solid experience. The interviewers were really friendly, and the conversations felt relevant to the role. It was a long process—about three hours with three different interviewers—but I appreciated the chance to go deep into my experience and learn more about the company.
That said, it’s been 45 days since the interview, and my application still says "in progress." I get that hiring can take time, but after putting in a full day, some kind of follow-up good or bad—would have been nice. Even just a quick update would’ve made a difference.
I respect the process and the people I spoke with, but I do hope they improve communication with candidates in the future.

Fine tuning LLMs, RAG techniques which includes the chunking, retrieval, Indexing of Vector db's. How do u deal with different types of inputs (audio,video,pdf,url). Questions on recent projects in resume related to Genai (agents,langchain,langgraph,langsmith,tools).

The interview process felt a bit unstructured at first, as I didn’t receive a response from HR after applying. However, I was eventually able to get a call scheduled directly with the AI and Data Science Manager. The conversation was great, the manager was very approachable and gave me the space to talk through my previous projects in detail. I even prepared a pitch deck for an AI chatbot tailored for their website, which made the discussion more engaging and productive.
After the interview, I reached out multiple times but never got the final result after hearing that the interview process is still going, a couple of times.

They asked me about Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), how to optimize it, and the role of contextual embeddings. We also discussed the broader impact of AI on business in the coming years, focusing on practical use cases and long-term value.
