      Entrevista

      I applied through Indeed and was messaged by a recruiter on Indeed a few weeks later. Had an interview with a recruiter and it was very informative and friendly. Allowed me to ask many questions and made me feel like I could really show my interest and skills from previous experience. Had me sign an NDA and was immediately set up with an interview with the people I would be working with. During the second interview it seemed less professional. The interview went into the company then focused on situational questions and how I would answer them using my previous experience. I did not get a chance to ask any questions or show my interest in the role or company. The NDA seemed completely useless as they never shared any of the actual work. It felt completely one sided. The only time I was asked to share anything for myself was for me to explain anything about my skills that they could have missed. I would have liked to be able to ask questions about the work or share what I know about the company, but I am trained to only focus on what I am asked during interviews. If they wanted me to share my knowledge on the company or ask question about anything they would have said something. It was made clear they didn’t care about either of these. This is the first interview where I was not asked if I had any questions. The second interview was clearly by people that do not have much experience in hiring. The role was for a smaller team of only a hand full of people which leads me to believe there is not really any official internal process for hiring people for this role. Instead, the people that work there just ask questions they feel would help in their decision. I feel I excel in interviews when I can speak freely. The interview process should not be one sided.
