After applying for the position, I was contacted the following day for a screening interview in around a week's time. Some preliminary details were discussed, including that it was a union job. The morning of the call I received an email that my interview was cancelled and the position was no longer available. I wasn't offered an apology or an interview for any similar positions. The interaction was otherwise professional.
