I responded to their offer for a Brand Ambassador through Indeed. The first red flag was the actual Brand Ambassador job title, when in reality the job sounded more like a Marketing/Communications Manager role. They left me a voicemail, I called back and they set up an online interview through Zoom. The second red flag, they just went though a checklist of "Interview" type questions which I thought was an inefficient way of finding a candidate. And finally the third red flag was when the job posting offered a salary range of $17-22/Hr, and when I asked how much they were offering and how I expect the $22/Hr, the president went on to say how the salary was determined by a chart that corresponded with the experience you had, that "they didn't count my internships", and the $22/Hr range would be for someone with 10 years of experience (You'd have to attend college, graduate, and then work for a decade, not including internships, to make $45,000, which most likely isn't even scaled to inflation.) I didn't even get an answer to how much they'd give me, they said they'd look up the chart and get back to me. Never did. Basically, if you have any self worth, don't let these companies low ball you into poverty adjacent wages, they need you more than you need them.
