Entrevista para Brand Platform Onboarding Assistant Manager

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en LTK (Nashville, TN) en ene 2022

      Entrevista

The information in the job posting was inaccurate, so the interview lasted 5 minutes. The pay range on LinkedIn stated it would be $54-85k, granted this was a LinkedIn estimate; however, the real range wasn’t even close. It was actually $40-45k, which I would not be able to live off of. The posting also said “flexible schedules, Summer Fridays (workday ends at 3pm).” I learned during the interview that core hours are actually 9am - 6pm, and the “flex scheduling” is you can ask your manager if you can come in a little before 9. Yippee. When I expressed confusion over the 6pm end time, I was informed that this (apparently) is the standard now. I didn’t get that memo, especially since more progressive companies are starting to let employees out even before 5pm, which is the actual “standard,” last I checked. The 3pm “end time” mentioned in the post ONLY applies to the aforementioned Summer Fridays, so that was very unclear and misleading in the posting, as well. This is also not even a management position. You are “managing” your own clients. I have no idea why “assistant manager” is part of the job title. Nothing whatsoever made sense in these 5 minutes. The recruiter was very kind and apologetic, and I don’t blame her at all for these errors (especially because she had only been working there for about 3 weeks, she said, so I doubt these were her errors to begin with) but it was truly an inaccurate, disorganized mess. The recruiter offered to help me look for a different position and suggested that I go to the company website for “more accurate” information, though she admitted that they don’t even provide salaries on there, so in my mind that seemed pretty pointless. She told me I could email her names of positions that interested me and she would help me out. While I truly appreciated the gesture, and I did look on the website for a few minutes, it did turn out to be pointless and a waste of more time. This is a fairly new company, and I understand you have to start somewhere, but they are going to really struggle with adding more talent to their teams if they don’t correct this hiring process. The recruiter told me that the same exact situation happened to two other interviewees THAT SAME DAY. I was genuinely so excited for this interview too. I spent time preparing, I woke up early so that I would look presentable after working a full shift at my current job, and I made multiple sacrifices in order to be there. Huge waste of time.
