The recruiter reached out to me through LI, representing a client of theirs. The stated job was the Manager for a CS team, I was interested, and we set up a time to chat. The day of, the recruiter said they were running late (10 minutes after scheduled time) and their colleague would be calling instead. Ten minutes later, they finally called. Recruiter #2 told me the role was NOT what Recruiter #1 had said, but asked, "what's the difference?" When one is a senior supervisor role and one is an individual contributor role, there's quite a bit of difference. After a relatively short call, Recruiter #2 said they would be in touch, but never emailed or called again. Two weeks later, Recruiter #3 reached out through LI for what appeared to be the same role. When I asked if it was the same, Recruiter #3 didn't respond, then deleted their LI profile. I really feel like I dodged a bullet.
