Initial Phone Screen:
A recruiter or HR representative will reach out to schedule an initial phone screen. This conversation usually covers your background, experience, and motivations. It's an opportunity for you to learn more about the company and for them to gauge your fit for the role.
Technical Interview (Live Coding & System Design):
The next step involves a technical interview, which is often conducted via a live video call. During this session, you may be asked to solve coding challenges in real-time while sharing your screen. The interviewer might also assess your understanding of system design principles by asking you to design a system or architecture based on a hypothetical scenario.
Managerial Interview:
If you pass the technical interview, you'll have an on-call interview with a hiring manager. This interview usually focuses on behavioral questions, discussing your past experiences, how you handle challenges, and your approach to teamwork and leadership. The manager might also dive deeper into your technical expertise and how it aligns with the team’s goals.
Offer Stage:
After successfully completing all previous steps, the company will make a decision. If they decide to move forward, you’ll receive a job offer. The offer will detail the role, compensation, benefits, and other relevant terms. You’ll have the opportunity to negotiate and clarify any details before accepting the position.
