I was asked about my experience and the different tools I would use in my day-to-day work. While the job description was about front-end activities, I was heavily asked about back-end questions related to database administration, APIs, NoSQL db and more. This made me uncomfortable at first because I was not expecting non-front-end questions. But after thinking about it, I strongly believe that the company saw the potential in me and pushed the interview to the extreme. It's a sign to me that the interviewers understood my background and wanted to know what I could bring to the table. Awesome!
