      Entrevista

      Phone screen after making it through the application stage. I did appreciate that they did not make me retype everything from my resume into their online application, as most online applications make you do even though you also upload your resume. The phone screen went well, and I was called shortly thereafter for a second interview. They told me I needed to take a personality test before my second interview (Zoom) and also fill out a comprehensive application. So much for feeling grateful to avoid retyping my resume! But at least I knew I was farther along at this point, so it didn't feel like as much of a waste of time like it does normally. I balked at the personality test. The recruiter said it has no bearing on my application but that it had to be taken before the next interview. Oh, and it would take me about 45 minutes to complete. When I found out that the CEO is a devout Scientologist, the personality test suddenly made a lot more sense. I never personally saw any sign that the people who work there would try to push Scientology on me, but I was unsettled enough to take myself out of the running for the position. I could be letting my imagination run away from me because the recruiter was nothing but kind to me. I guess it just depends on how much information you're comfortable sharing with a company before there is any guarantee of employment. There was at least another round in the interview process after the second interview, so it just wasn't for me.

      They sent me an IQ test to do which is already BS and should be considered discriminatory at this point. I know I got most of the questions right because I took it with another person and used a calculator. They rejected me anyway. They also sent a very weird personality quiz with awful statements they asked me to rate on a scale like “I am able to love” and “My friends have done well in business”

      It was a phone interview and took about 20 minutes. The questions were pretty standard for this job position. Some questions situational others to explain how my past experience relates to the job. I didn't move on to the second round bc the pay is very low and I did not want to commute three days a week to the office for such low pay.

      Contacted by a recruiter by email. Emailed back and forth. She was very friendly and easy to schedule a call with. Very basic questions. Salary for the posted job was not noted in their ad so when I let her know what my requirements were she told what the typical annual salary was, which was far below my base.
