• The whole process took around 8 weeks with 6 rounds of interviews. This is the longest process I’ve ever had, even than some reputable organisations I’ve worked for.
• The supervised logic reasoning test is a red flag. Though I passed it, I don’t think this represents an inclusive working culture. This may also harm the self-esteem and confidence of the candidates who failed the test.
• I told talent acquisition team my salary expectation at the beginning, they were not able to tell me if they could meet my expectation unless they finished the interviews with me. As some previous comments mentioned, that candidate completed all the interviews and only offered half of the salary he/she expected.
• The original job description is misleading – it only requires 3-5 years of experience, which normally would be mid-level compliance. During the interview, I found out the job was MLRO and needed to be registered with the financial regulator. Just for your reference, MLRO needs extensive experience in AML
• I was transferred to another more suitable position for interview. 3 more rounds regarding my previous experience, how my value matches its value etc.
• The interviewers from the compliance team were professional and approachable
• When I finished the whole process, no one contacted me for the result. I had to contact them for the outcome. The talent acquisition team was late for the scheduled call for 15 minutes and no apology.
• I was told that they don’t think I’m motivated enough to work for Klarna (though I went through all its 6 rounds of interviews?). Also, they think I do not have the specific knowledge they require. During the conversation, I found out this comment was during the interview round 4. I asked them why they kept inviting me for round 5 and 6, talent acquisition team admitted this was their internal communication issue. This actually wasted my time and energy, so did their internal resources
• During the interview, I observed that the reason for this position opening is due to the resignation of current staff. Therefore, it’s not only for business expansion reasons.
