I had heard that there was an available position, so I walked in and asked if they were hiring. They let me fill out an application and asked me to come in the next day for a working interview. During the interview with the director, she asked basic questions such as what has been my past experience working with children and why do I like working with children. During the working interview, I was placed in a classroom and the fellow teachers observed how I interacted with the kids.
My advice- be overly helpful and ask lots of questions while you are in a classroom. Having now observed many potential teachers in my own classroom, it is a big turn-off if they just sit there and don't offer to help change diapers or ask questions about the daily routines. The director always asks teachers what they thought of the candidate! And their opinion counts a lot.

30 minutes - 45 minutes, first interview in the office general questions. If they like you a second interview in various classrooms between 10-15 minutes in each room to get the classroom teacher's opinion.

Super easy and laid back. Took place in one of the classrooms while the children were outside. very basic. The director asked a lot of questions, and then asked me to clean the classroom, just to observe how I would do each day. I then was called in to interact with the children for a few hours, to ensure that I was comfortable and it was a good fit.
